Mike Pettinelli, 174th Fighter Wing Director of Psychological Health and former unit member, was recently recognized for Outstanding Achievement for Region I at the annual Air National Guard Psychological Health Professionals conference held at McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base in Knoxville, TN. U. S. Air Force Gen. Mike Hostage, Air Combat Command (ACC) Commander, speaks to airmen at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, NY in the main hanger on 9 Feb 2012. The visit by Gen. Hostage was an opportunity to tour the various units on Hancock Field and to discuss current issues with the airmen. Gen. Col. Greg Semmel Selected to Become New Commander of 174th Fighter Wing
New York Air National Guard Col. Greg A. Semmel, a member of the 174th Fighter Wing since 2000, has been named the new commander of the 174th Fighter Wing. Semmel takes command of the wing from Col. Kevin W. Bradley on March 4, 2012. Semmel has served as the Assistant Vice Commander of the 174th Fighter Wing since March 2011. Among other assignments, Semmel previously served as the Operations Group Commander for the 174th Fighter Wing, as well as an operational test/evaluation pilot at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida and an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
