Col. John O'Connor

 

Colonel John O'Connor is commander of 174th Attack Wing, Air National Guard, in Syracuse, New York.  He assumed the position in 2023.  Colonel O'Connor leads over 1,000 assigned airmen operating the MQ-9 combat wing, MQ9 Flying Training Unit, MQ9 Field Training Detachment, 152d Air Operations Group, and providing support to three geographically separated units.

Colonel Brett Batick is deputy commander of 174th Attack Wing, Air National Guard in Syracuse, New York.  He assumed the position in April 2024.  Colonel Batick assists the wing commander in leading over 1,000 assigned airmen operating the MQ-9 combat wing, MQ-9 Flying Training Unit, MQ-9 Field Training Detachment, 152d Air Operations Group, and providing support to three geographically separated units.

Command Chief Master Sgt. Sonja Antoinette Williams Senior Enlisted Leader for the 174th Attack Wing, Syracuse, NY. As the Senior Enlisted Leader, Williams is the commander’s key enlisted advisor on operational effectiveness and the organization, training and equipping of enlisted Airmen. She works with other enlisted leaders, aides and assists senior leadership on strategic initiatives that directly affect organizational culture and the development and effective utilization of all Airmen in the Air National Guard.
