Hancock Field Fallen Defenders Ruck March

NY Air Guard tests new MQ-9 remote landing and takeoff capability
An MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft lands at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, New York on May 5, 2022 as the 174th Attack Wing of the New York Air National Guard tests a new remote landing and takeoff capability.. This is the first time an MQ-9 flew from one commercial airport, in this case Hancock Field International Airport in Syracuse, to another, the airport in Rome.

174th Attack Wing Airman Attends Cold Weather Training
Senior Airman Muhammad-Alamin Qubaisy, 174th Attack Wing Security Forces member, participated in a three-week Cold Weather Operations Course at Fort McCoy, WI. One of the training obstacles was called cold-water immersion. Instructors cut a hole into a nearby frozen lake and the students learn how to effectively get back on the ice. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon presented the proclamation for The Month of The Military Child on April 2, 2022 at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, New York. The ceremony was held at the 152nd Air Operations Group. The proclamation was established in 1986 as the Month of the Military Child for all their sacrifices and challenges encountered while their family member is serving.
