A static F-16C Fighting Falcon sits in the main hanger at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, NY after being recently refurbished by the 174th Fighter Wing Maintenance Group. This is one of 10 different aircraft employed by the 174 FW since its formation in 1947 (including the MQ-9 Reaper and RC-26 which it currently flies). In the future, these aircraft will be pre-positioned permanently at an air park on the base where they will be on display for future generations to view.
