Chief Boswell retires after 30 years of service Published May 30, 2014 By Senior Airman Duane Morgan 174th Attack Wing HANCOCK FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, SYRACUSE, Ny. -- The 174th Attack Wing bid farewell to Chief Master Sgt. James Boswell, chief with the 174th Operations Group, in a retirement ceremony 4 May 2014. Boswell retires with over 30 years of military service and is proud to have family that will carry his name on within the 174th organization. "The proudest moment of my career has to be when my son joined our unit," said Boswell. "Watching him graduate from BMT (Basic Military Training) made me very proud." Boswell also has a nephew who is in the unit. His nephew and son attended technical school together.
