Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs Published May 13, 2009 By Mr. Tim Sager 174FW Environmental Manager Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse NY -- Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs are replacing the incandescent bulbs. They use 75% less energy and last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. However, because they contain a small amount of mercury the EPA recommends recycling. According to the Hazardous Technical Information Services Bulletin this month you can bring your old bulbs to Home Depot, IKEA and Ace Hardware stores for recycling.
