Wing Commander

Col. Brett Batick


Col. Brett Batick, commander of the 174th Attack Wing, New York Air National Guard, at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, assumed the position in December 2025.

Batick leads more than 1,000 assigned Airmen supporting MQ-9 operations, including the MQ-9 Combat Wing, MQ-9 Flying Training Unit, MQ-9 Field Training Detachment, the 152nd Air Operations Group, and three geographically separated units.

Deputy Wing Commander

Col. John Meili

 

Col. John Meili, deputy wing commander of the 174th Attack Wing, New York Air National Guard, at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, assumed the position in March 2026.

As deputy wing commander, he supports the wing commander in overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, and coordination across the wing's missions sets, ensuring effective integration of MQ-9 operations.

Corey LaRock

Command Chief Master Sgt. Corey LaRock, senior enlisted leader of the 174th Attack Wing, New York Air National Guard, at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, assumed the position in March 2026.

As command chief, he serves as the principal advisor to the wing commander on matters affecting the enlisted force, mission readiness, professional development, and morale of more than 1,000 Airmen.
